Calculating Your Mortgage Payments

The following table displays the monthly payment that you will make per $1000 of principal, for the listed interest rate over 15, 20, 25, 30 or 35 year period. To calculate your monthly payment, divide your mortgage balance by 1000 and then multiply by the appropriate number in the table below.

EXAMPLE: If you have a mortgage of $200 000 over 25 years at 7%. Your monthly payment would be $1400 ($200 000 divided by 1000 x 7.00)

Land Transfer Tax table

The formula for calculating the total land transfer tax is as follows:

0.5% on the first $55, 000
Plus 1% of the amount from $55, 000 to $250, 000
Plus 1.5% of the amount in excess of $250, 000 to $400, 000
Plus 2% of the amount in excess of $400,001
